1. Overview
PlayFreeNZ (playfreenz.com) is a free social gaming site. We are committed to being transparent about what data we collect — which is very little. This policy explains our practices in plain language.
2. No Active Account System
PlayFreeNZ does not have an active user account system. The Register and Log In pages on this site are visual previews only. Submitting these forms does not create an account, store your email address, save your password, or transmit any data to our servers. No account data of any kind is processed or retained.
3. Visual Register and Login Forms
Any information you type into the Register or Log In forms on PlayFreeNZ is not submitted, stored, or processed in any way. These forms exist as a visual interface preview only. They perform no backend function.
4. No Payment Data
PlayFreeNZ is entirely free. There is no payment system, e-commerce functionality, or financial transaction processing on this site. We do not collect, store, or process any payment information.
5. Browser Storage (localStorage)
PlayFreeNZ uses your browser's localStorage to store a small number of preferences. All storage is local to your browser and is not transmitted to our servers. Keys used: pfnz_age_confirmed (your age gate confirmation), pfnz_cookie_consent (your storage preference choice), pfnz_recent_games (slugs of recently played games), pfnz_sound_pref (optional sound preference). 6. Contact Form Data
The contact form on PlayFreeNZ is currently a visual preview only. If you send an email directly to support@playfreenz.com, that email will be processed only for the purpose of responding to your enquiry. We do not add email addresses to marketing lists without explicit consent.
7. Age Verification
Age confirmation (that you are 18+) is stored locally in your browser via localStorage using the key pfnz_age_confirmed. This information is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
8. Embedded Third-Party Games
Games embedded on PlayFreeNZ are loaded from third-party game provider URLs. When a game loads, your browser makes a connection to the game provider's servers. These third parties may set their own cookies or storage as part of the game's operation. PlayFreeNZ does not control the data practices of third-party game providers. Please refer to the respective provider's privacy policy for information on their data practices.
9. Analytics and Advertising
PlayFreeNZ does not currently use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics platforms (such as Google Analytics). We do not track user behaviour across other sites.
10. Your Rights (New Zealand)
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to request access to personal information held about you, and to request correction of that information. Given that PlayFreeNZ collects no personal data on its servers, there is no personal information for us to provide or correct. You can delete all locally stored data by clearing your browser's local storage.
